Cable Beach Camel

When we watched the sun down at Cable Beach, Western Australia, we saw the tourist camel train taking people for a beach ride at sunset. It reminded me of my first, and only, experience riding a camel in Bali many years ago. This quote is exactly how I felt!

“On horseback you feel as if you’re moving in time to classical music; a camel seems to progress to the beat of a drum played by a drunk.”

Walter Moers

This stitching was inspired by the dressage of the camels at Cable Beach. Stitched on the road from Barn Hill, WA to De Gray, to Robe River, to Lyndon River.
