I haven’t given up on Inktober, I’ve just been having way too much fun with hubby and friends in the South West of Western Australia! We’ve been exploring, walking and partying in the Porongurups, Stirling Ranges, Peaceful Bay, Walpole and more. I’ve made time to sketch but not post, so look forward to me posting Inktober in November!
To Lela – our 9 YEAR old puppy:
You are my sunshine, my little sunshine.
You make me happy, when skies are grey!
You Are My Sunshine – #Inktober 2018 Day 20
This is her after a bath and a trim. Every day is a bad hair day for Lela!
On a day overloaded with domestic tasks, coming across a Pro Hart print we bought when visiting his gallery in Broken Hill last year, brought some sunshine into my day. Pro Hart’s use of colour and suggestion were amazing.
Restricted to black and yellow for this Inktober, I did what I could in the time available to render his oil painting ‘Flowers in Red Vase’ as an ink sketch. Sorry Pro Hart!
Surprise Sunshine – #Inktober 2018 Day 19
The Australian government should fund me to have frequent hair-dos over East.
The sun would disappear, the heavens would open, rain would pour
and the drought would be no more!
Cure For Drought! – #Inktober 2018 Day 18
The 17th was a beautiful sunny day. We were happy to spend time with dear friends – and felt sad as we felt some of their pain on the loss of a young, close relative just a short while ago.
Happy and Sad – #Inktober 2018 Day 17
On the 16th I delivered my first consignment of cooling neck ties to the Kalamunda Visitor Centre. It was a glorious sunny day so good timing!
I enjoyed the company of a BFF on the trip which added more sunshine to my day.

I love sundown – and finding tree goblins in our garden!
