On day 8 a BFF and I went down to ‘the flats’ to run a couple of errands. On the way back we made the most of the opportunity to stop at the Anglicare Op shop. I scored an as new lightweight jumper for $6! I wonder who donated it and why… maybe it was given away as it is not in fashion… Happily, I’ve always been so out of fashion I’ve sometimes wondered if I’m a trend setter. Maybe I’m just dotty!
Anyway, it is a win for my wallet, for the environment and for the charity – but not a win for de-cluttering my wardrobe!
Opportunity Knocked – #Inktober2019 Day 8
I and my husband enjoyed the company of long time friends on day 6. We had lunch out to celebrate their birthdays and their twentieth anniversary.
This was an excuse to dress up, so I exchanged my usual bush block gear of t-shirt, leggings and boots for a designer top, leggings and boots! The top was a bargain from an op shop (charity shop) so it was a win for my wallet, a win for the environment and a win for the charity.
You’ll have to imagine the pink and beige splashes of colour among the black and green as I’ve constrained myself this Inktober to only using black and green ink.
