This Is Not Art

This is not

“Something that is created with imagination and skill and that is beautiful or that expresses important ideas or feelings”     – Merriam Webster dictionary

This collage does express visually to me why it has been nearly 4 months (?!!) since I posted here and how I feel and it is important to me, so maybe it is art, albeit not good…

This Is Not Art

I find some comfort in Salvador Dali‘s words:

Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it!

Great to see your post and the collage takes me to many memories and thoughts of recent events and of our future travelling and our time here at Balligar. :-)xx

Thanks Poppytump. I have been very busy and have to make time to do a quick sketch each day in my diary. I want hours and hours to spend painting but I can’t seem to find them. I wonder sometimes if my busyness is a form of procrastination!! 🙂

    Helen,
I disagree – to me each work I see in the above collage is a work of art. Every image has been produced with some sort of emotional connection and I personally enjoy that.
    Loved Harvey’s images 🙂
Keep up the good art work.
Loved Dali’s quote, made a note in my diary.

Thanks Jeff. Delighted you recognized Harvey. I’m making time to do a quick sketch in my diary of of the ‘thing’ that dominates my mind when recalling the day. So when we see Harvey the choice of sketch is a no-brainer! 🙂
