The beautiful poem ‘Dust If You Must’ by Rose Milligan has always caused me inner conflict. I really relate to it – here are some snippets:
Dust if you must, but wouldn’t it be better
To paint a picture or write a letter…
And
Dust if you must, but there’s not much time,
With rivers to swim and mountains to climb…
And
This day will not come again.
Yet I have to dust. I want to preserve the aesthetics of my surroundings, to provide a comfortable and healthy place for myself and my loved ones – so dust I must – unless someone is willing to do it for me!
Day 7 of October the focus of my day was, no prizes for guessing, housework.
Hooroo,
🙂
