Eating is a necessity, but cooking is an art.

On Day 21 I spent a lot of time in the kitchen preparing food for the weekend. I consoled myself for lack of time in my studio by remembering that cooking is an art form too.

The stories, feelings and influences associated with certain recipes affect our food choices. Cooking, even from a recipe, provides opportunity for innovation, creativity and experimentation.

One dish I created was spicy nuts. This pen and ink drawing of the dish has been digitally modified, so that I met my self constraint of limiting my palette this Inktober to black and blue – well almost!
