On Day 24, despite the sad news the day before, we went ahead with our plans to enjoy the Australian Football League’s final day with family and friends. So glad we did.

Before the game we walked the Wildflower Trail in John Forrest National Park and had a lovely lunch at the tavern in the park. The tavern area is frequented by mobs of wild kangaroos to the delight of visitors.

This big boy would be about 2 metres tall when stood up straight!
